The Mirror 14 Story

The Ghost Dinghy.

The Ghost should have been one of the great dinghies as it incorporated many design features that would later be adopted for wider use in dinghy racing. Designer Greg Gregory had established his credentials with his very rapid, and sucecssful Cherub designs and after pressure from Cherub sailors to produced a larger variant he drew up the Ghost.

Many sawthis boat as a 15ft long Cherub as it carried an overlength 9ft spinnaker pole, high aspect rig on an easily driven hull.

The Ghost was fully researched for the 'Lost Classes' article in the April 2006 edition of Dinghy Sailing magazine

The results of this research indicate that only one boat from this exciting class remains today

Below are some reprints from an Australian Magazine of the day.The boat was also launcherd there in the late 1960's.
