David Henshall is a life long dinghy racer who has competed at both National and International Level in 505's, International 14's, Contenders and various catamarans. After retiring from life in the telecommications industry he set out to forge a new career as a freelance writing covering those topics he knows best, Dinghy Racing, travel and history.
Recently David has launch the book he has written that charts the story of the International Contender (see an update on 'Hooked on' at the Contender page on this website). When not busy writing he has been sailing various dinghies, from the latest newcomer to the dinghy park, the Devotti D-One, to his classic Smokers Satisfaction Merlin Rocket 3025, 'Smokey Bears'.
The intention for the 2010 season is to sail as much as possible in either the Merlin at some of the Classic Dinghy events (www.cvrda.org ) Oulton Broad here we come, or else in the Contender, though sailing other boats is always a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
Pictures, where possible, will be uploaded to the site
